how do i collect planet resources??

it is now my main mission.i think it means like sodium and magnesium but i have no idea how to get them.

i can trade them away.

sorry, it meant exploit resources from a planet(oid). i misunderstood.(the common ones like metal)

yah, i figured this out but i am now baffled about squadrons.i just founded one and cant use it.

this does have to do with planet resources.i need squad funds or something to try and take over planets wich produce those tradable resources i assume.and no idea how to get squad funds.
