Stat decrease bug/error

So having just completed the elite sector D, I unlocked all the new toys/equipment, I fitted them to my ship hoping to get a boost to my fleet strength and my strength went down by around 13k even though the equipment was was better rated, had better stats and had better attributes. I am not sure if it is a display bug or a stat calculation bug.

From the screen shot we can see that at 13:59:02 your total strength is 496K, and at 14:02: 34 your total strength increased to 508K, please confirm again if you make a mistake on the strength before and after
