Affiliate Ships on multiple Flagships

I can't seem to find anything about this - but it appears that I can only assign affiliate ships to one capital ship. Why can I not apply them to multiple flagships? Do I need crew members on both to allow the affiliates, or some type of research (lvl 4 on everything so far, with a lvl 4 research facility). I can't for the life of me figure out why you couldn't put affiliate ships on multiple flagships.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You couldn't do it in beta. I assume it's the same now. When you research new affiliate ships you can put them on another flagship. But only one type can go on each flag.

Oh so you have to remove an affiliate ship from one to put it on another...wonder what the logic is behind this? Seems illogical to me.

You can get more affiliate ships, upt to 4 per flag ship, just need to earn the pieces to unblock them.
