Music stop, sounds still active

I always mute to sound in the game when I play, but I still get sound effects. Lisanna and Reedus still make sounds when they punch the opponent, and I can hear Reedus say 'Picto Magic' when he shouldn't. I also hear Lisana's special attack sounds, but not my own. I don't hear ANY of this if I leave the background music on. Is this a glitch, or does it happen to everyone?
